The Civil Engineering Department of CWIT started in the year 1957. The Department conducts Diploma in Civil Engineering since its inception. The Department had conducted Part Time Degree in Civil Engg. for employed diploma holders, under SPPU, Pune during period 1983 to 2014.

I/C HODDepartment was established in year 1958 , started with offering a post HSC Diploma in Electronics and Radio Engineering. The Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication course was started in the year 1999.
I/C HODThe Institute was initially conducting a course in Mechanical Draftsmanship. Diploma course in Mechanical Engineering was started in 1958. Institute has started an additional batch with an intake of 60 from 2002.
I/C HODScience Department runs the foundation level courses for the first year students. There are four courses - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English taught at the first year level. This helps the students to develop the scientific temper and scientific outlook.
