Mrs.A.S.Patil

Department of Applied Sciences is the foundation of Engineers. We always intend to impart knowledge through a closed knit family of highly competent faculty. Department of Applied Sciences plays a vital role in an engineering college catering to the teaching of basic Sciences and Humanities courses for engineering students of all branches. Our Laboratories have been very well established not only to cover complete syllabus but to motivate students to learn beyond the syllabus which definitely develops complete knowledge of the subject (both the practical and theoretical depth of knowledge) and develop skill sets of students to become promising engineers in future

Chemistry lab

The department is heavily involved in carrying out the manufacturing activities with the help of following equipment for the research activities as well as for the training of the undergraduate students throughout the semester. With the assistance of qualified technical staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students are able to carry out the Turning operations, Milling operations, Grinding operations, Drilling operations and fabrication work for their B.E, M.E project & practical work

List of Equipment:
• Lathe machines • Universal Milling machine • Radial drilling machine • Bench grinding machine • Horizontal Surface grinding machine • Power press machine

Laboratory In charge: Dr.D.V.Patil

Physics Lab

Internal Combustion Engine Laboratory is a well-equipped laboratory which provides ideas on practice of handling IC engines and measuring the performance parameters. Our lab can be used to measure engine performance and gas emission from various types of engines at different operating conditions.

List of Equipment:
1. COMPUTERIZED PETROL ENGINE TEST RIG: On Computerized Petrol Engine Test rig Morse Test, P-Ɵ Test and Heat Balance sheet calculations are carried out. Computerized reports are generated by Engine-soft software interfaced with petrol engine test rig for all test.
2. DIESEL ENGINE TEST RIG: Diesel engine Test rig is a in-house project done by BE Mechanical students. On this test rig all efficiencies and Heat Balance sheet can be calculates.
3. EXHAUST GAS ANALYZER: Exhaust gas analyzer is ARAI approved and measures the % CO, CO2, NOx and HC from exhaust gases of petrol engine.
4. BATTERY CHARGER: This instrument is used to charge the different batteries.
5. BMW ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION UNIT: This unit is useful to understand the basic construction and working of I.C. Engine and transmission unit which is donated by BMW Company.

lab in charge: Dr D.G.Game.

Language Lab

The Language lab was set up in 2007 to develop the communication skills of students. Many language related activities are carried out to develop the reading, writing, speaking and listening skills of students.

The Lab consists of the following equipments
List of Equipment:
• 20 LINGUAPHONE LANGUAGE LAB MACHINES ,20 HEADPHONES,20 PCs
