The Electrical Department was the first department of the Institute established in 1938 offering Dip. Tech Electrical course. The department now conducts Diploma programme in Electrical Engineering since 1958. The department consists of dedicated and qualified staff, as per AICTE norms. The staff members are the members of various professional bodies like ISTE, IEI etc. The department comprises of well equipped laboratories like, Electrical Machines, Electrical Measurements, Power systems, Instrumentation, Elect. Workshop, Programmable Logic Controller etc. Education is a process of learning and acquiring knowledge. Our teachers are the key to this process, they believe in each student's capabilities and facilitate them to explore, understand and therefore learn. In Electrical Engineering Department of CWIT, we take immense pride in providing highest quality of education by paying utmost importance to teaching quality and practical learning. Our excellence is not just confined to the classroom; we are active in organizing hands on training workshops, seminars, guest lectures, industrial visits, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. These activities and educational methodology helps in an overall development in our students, making them competent and industry ready.
