Diploma Programme in Computer Engineering and IoT


The Autonomous Diploma Program in Computer Engineering and IoT was started in 2022.

Features of department

· The computer centre of this Institute was the first centre to be established in Pune.

To inculcate social and ethical values along with technical proficiency

  1. To impart quality education and inculcate ethical and social values in Computer Engineering and IoT.
  2. To enhance curricula in tune with advancements in Computer Engineering, IoT and emerging technologies.
  3. To develop competent faculty and provide modern infrastructure for effective teaching, learning, and interdisciplinary curricula.
  4. To strengthen collaboration with industry, research organizations, and alumni of Computer Engineering and IoT.

Program Educational Objectives

Program Outcomes

The students will be able to

  • Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.
  • Problem Analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
  • Design/Development of Solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
  • Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
  • Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
  • Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
  • Life-long learning: Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.

The Computer Engineering department is established in year 1984 with the aim of providing quality education and excelling in all the endeavors it undertook.The Department has state-of-the-art infrastructure and computing equipment supported by high speed internet connection.The Department has a pool of experienced, dedicated and committed faculty members who aim at delivering top class education to students. Department organizes industrial visits and expert lectures on latest technologies to expose the students to the rapid change in computer engineering domain.We aspire to reach a higher horizon, a horizon at which we are recognized at the national and the international levels.

The laboratory is well equipped with high end computer systems & peripherals. The different softwares installed in the laboratory are: Open JDK 7.0, Eclipse, Visual Studio Community 2022, MySQL Server, NetBeans. Students learn and perform the lab work through languages such as: C/C++, Data Structure , NET Technology, Java, Advanced Java, Python. Students implement different real time applications by learning and practising in Advanced Java, Python etc.Exposure to web development and advanced programming languages offers students an opportunity to develop Applications on their own.
